Professional Background

Mr. Brown has been a practicing attorney in the State of New York for over 10 years. He began his legal career working for eight years at a boutique general practice firm, and currently focuses his practice in U.S. immigration law.

Education

Mr. Brown received his law degree, cum laude, from New York Law School, and his undergraduate degree from St. John’s College, a liberal arts school in Annapolis, Maryland which is known for its academically rigorous Great Books Program.

Experience:

Prior to focusing on his own immigration law practice, Mr. Brown was an associate at Butler, Fitzgerald, Fiveson & McCarthy, in New York City, where he gained extensive experience in commercial litigation, appellate law and title insurance law.

Mr. Brown’s background in general practice law has proven indispensible for providing the highest level of service for the immigrant clientele he currently represents. Mr. Brown has experience generally in nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, waivers, adjustment of status, asylum, naturalization, parole in place and BIA appeals. Specifically, Mr. Brown has developed a specialty within immigration law in the immigration consequences of criminal convictions.

Jurisdictions Admitted to Practice:

Mr. Brown is a licensed member of the New York Bar, and is licensed to practice law in all courts in the State of New York, and before the United States District Courts for the Southern District and Eastern District of New York.
